* Some schools offer two Early Decision options: Early Decision 1 and Early Decision 11. Both Early Decision options are binding; Early Decision means that, if accepted, a student agrees to withdraw all other applications and attend the college to which the ED application was submitted. Such schools typically allow students who have applied under the Regular Decision plan, and whose applications are complete, to change their application status to Early Decision 11 by a certain deadline.
**Register for the CSS Profile at www.collegeboard.com.
*** Most schools prefer to receive the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1; February 15 is the final submission date by which most schools will accept the form. Federal student financial aid guidelines require only that applications be submitted no later than June 30 – July 2.
